Born on 28 July 2005, everyone at the club is fiercly proud of what has been achieved in such a small space of time.

The focal point of the club is the twice weekly kickabouts in Birmingham, held every Sunday and Wednesday. Everyone is welcome, male and female, from seasoned veterans to those who've never kicked a ball in their lives. Some come to improve their game, some to keep fit, some to make new friends, some who like to be involved in something "different" from the bars and clubs on the gay scene, and some to enjoy their favourite sport in a hassle-free environment. There's a real mix of ability, yet everyone has a great laugh!

We also take part in small-sided tournaments around the UK, such as the Leicester 6-a-side tournament (September) which was the very first competition we took part in. Other planned tournaments are, in March (Yorkshire) and June (GFSN national get-together).

For the more competitive, we also have an 11-a-side team. In our first season (2005/06) we played friendlies against most of the GFSN National League sides and then we joined the league itself from the 2006/07 season.

So whether you want to join the both or either of the kickabouts each week, play in tournaments or the 11-a-side team, or just enjoy the social element - there is a place for you at the Blaze!
