Womens Open Day 18th April 2010

Birmingham Blaze Football club would like to invite all women to come and join the club. Blaze would like to offer the opportunity to women of the Midlands to get involved with a great club and enjoy football.

This Event has been set-up to encourage Participation by all women.

The club is built on respect: we don't align ourselves specifically to any single diverse group, and our membership reflects this.

Choose Blaze to keep fit, to make new friends or to enjoy an alternative from the bars and clubs on the LGBT scene. A strength of the club is members' ability to enjoy their favourite sport in a hassle-free environment. There's a real mix of ability, yet everyone has a great laugh!

The "Blaze Women" Open day will be held to get as many women to come and enjoy football and at the curiosity of Blaze. the session will include fitness training, ball skills and a small side game.

Sorry to bring bad news to you but due to overnight snow the game today has been postponed as both grass and artificial pitches are unplayable. Anyone who is planning on being in Nottingham later the Ballbois are still getting together at 5pm at Propaganda to do their Homophobia v Football event, to which we're all invited to attend (free food). If you need further information on this let me know.

Breaking News - Blaze have arranged an informal training session at goals this afternoon starting at 3pm. Be good to see you all there so we can take our frustrations about the weather out on the pitch!

If anyone fancies forming a Blaze in Australia team please do let us know! (Sydney Blaze sounds sorta cool)

We've had to call off today's game because of frozen pitches. Our grass and all weather pitches at Moor Lane have been closed for the day, we've also tried alternative venues but they have also closed their pitches today. Moseley Bog is usually our last resort, we had a look at the pitch but it was also frozen, with no sun out we couldn't make Cardiff travel on the off chance it would thaw.

Training is also cancelled today.
